Private party ads are free on EPage, but commercial ads are not.  Why are commercial ads not free? Simple: when they were free, we were inundated with junk ads, and our readers complained.

A commercial ad is one that attempts to generate revenue or attract customers on an ongoing basis.  The business may be a small, personal venture, or a large corporation. A private-party ad might generate revenue by selling something, but that sale is not related to a business.

We do allow commercial companies to list specific items for sale or auction, for free. But this means that once the item is sold that there are no more to sell. If you can place one ad and keep selling this item to more than one respondent, then the ad is commercial.

We do not allow commercial companies to advertise their website (as a free, private party ad).
